So... the money we are spending on gear should be better suited to helping those in need?

Figured those audiophiles or technophiles who can afford a $30M or $50M estates wouldn't even blink an eye for one of these...probably spent that much already just to pick some builder options.

The gap is definitely widening.

Probably made from platina, gold, silver and some very rare, almost gone wood.

When you start to use $90,000 cable... 1 million is not a lot of money...

Anything over $10k or so should go towards income-producing assets.

Then again, if there was a way to generate unearned income from a million dollar stereo, it might be worth looking at. But I won't spend big cash on something that doesn't give me a check every month.

I wonder how much better they sound than say, a $300,000 system?

Those speakers can probably be played loud enough to entertain those starving in Africa.

I am sure someone already has that surround sound system on there yacht. Which only makes sense, because out in the ocean you don't have to worry about the sub woofers shaking the plaster off the walls in your Manhattan penthouse apartment..

visually I'm not appealed to them

I wonder what the insides of the speakers look like to account for the cost and 1300 weight :p.

In case you need a little more power.  This Pivetta Opera provides a useful 20,000 watts, and retails for $650,000
