Ipod touch 4th gen vs Ipod classic 160gb 7th gen vs Sony NWZ-A84x

Hi just wondering on which is better in terms of SQ. I use Beats Headphones but i want a good portable player for my car audio. I currently own an Ipod Video 30gb. How would these newer players compare to my old one? I need more storage space so i'm looking for a replacement. I really like the Sony A-series but 32gb seems too small; if only they would release a 64gb version then i'd opt for that. But if sony is really better in terms of SQ then maybe i'll settle for 32gb storage space.

I know this is not a car audio forum but you guys probably know more about portable players.

This is my current setup.

Alpine cda-9830 headunit
Focal 27KX subwoofer
Focal 130KP 2-way seperates front and back
Rockford Fosgate 351s
Rockford Fosgate 200s
Rockford Fosgate 500.1bd

XLO HTSC12 speaker wires for my separates
XLO HTSC14 speaker wires for my sub
XLO Pro 150 rca cables for both separates
Ultralink MX RCA terminals

Thanks

Well I have heard the 4th generation touch and the 7;th generation classic and I prefer the sound of the touch over the classic; to be blunt, I actually hated the classic and took it back within 3 days; having all of my music with me was great but the sound quality just sucked compared to all of my other players.

I used the Shure SE535s with both players and all music was encoded at 320kbs mp3.

I haven't heard any Sony players so I can't comment on their cound quality.

nothing has been said about the Sony yet, if it's really good in terms of sound quality against the ipod touch then i'll just settle for the 32gb Sony A series but if not then i'll the 64gb touch
