Is it possible to be to " Critical"

Sometimes i find myself just being to critical of my listening sesssions instead of just enjoying the music. Anyone else go through that sometimes?

I do. I've caught myself doing that the last couple of weeks. For me it was new earbuds that set it off. I took rockbox off of one of my players because I was constantly tweaking and fooling with the sound instead of just enjoying the music. I hate it when I get like that. I'm old enough (44) to remember when my options were On/Off and AM/FM. It didn't sound as good, but sometimes I think it made just listening to music a whole lot easier.

I agree , i hate EQ'S. " On/Off and AM/FM. " Sure was a lot easier. No choice but to listen. I did the same thing with rockbox on my clip+. I have a problem with trying to find faults a lot of times with my gear when I'm listening, instead of enjoying all the pleasure there is right in front of me.It seems like every time i buy something new, i go through that phase, sometimes for to long of a period.
