Looking for new PMP

Thread Starter

Hi everyone, this is my first post on head-fi! I'm looking for a new cheap PMP to replace my run-down Rockboxed 1st gen classic Ipod (RIP). I'll be using a FiiO E5 miniamp and a pair of ATH M50s.

I'm also on a budget right now, after my M50s, so my max price is around $100, give or take $20.

So from greatest importance to least other than price, I'm looking for:

1. FLAC support. Must have, because all my music is in FLAC biggrin.gif

EDIT: never mind this, my dad is making me convert because he needs my external hard drive and I don't have enough space on my computer:frown.gif any player that support 320kbps is fine now...

2. Medium capacity, around 30GB will be fine, or a small internal capacity and expandable memory, preferably SDHC.

3. Good battery life. Preferably can run 24 hours straight playing music at about half volume.

4. Portability. I'm mostly going to be using this on the road, on the bus, airplane, trips, etc., so I'd like this PMP to be "pocket sized"

5. WiFi, if possible. This is not a requirement, but if the PMP has it, it will be appreciated

OH AND PLEASE NO NOT RECOMMEND ANY APPLE PRODUCTS, I want to try something new smily_headphones1.gif

Thanks in advance for any recommendations, any feedback is greatly appreciated. biggrin.gif
