Is my uDac clipping?/What DAC or amp should I get?

Today, only today, just today, I am hearing the poor audio out of my headphones.

I don't know what it is. It is like a small split second skip or pop every once in a while. This is just today. It may just be me. Barely noticeable but still.

 

Also I am getting a HD580 with HD650 drivers and I know I need something better to power them. Should I get a powerful DAC or an amp?

 

Recommendations?

It could be clipping.  How loud are you listening?  

 

I found with mine that if I was using the RCAs out, It clipped at full volume, but if I lowered it to half volume, I got the best sound, and no clipping.  But this might not help you if your only using the headphone jack.

10 or 11 o'clock. Clips easier at 11, but like I said not really major.

Are you using a laptop?  If so, your USB port may not be out-puting enough power for the uDAC.

 

If you are using a Desktop, are you running many programs, or have a lot of other things plugged up that may introduce interference.

I am a f***ing idiot. I had a game running this whole time. So that is causing it. I know. Sorry. End of thread.
