I also said this was on my setup, and I use a Norne Draug 2 cable.

Right on, maybe when all is said and done I might go back to the HE4 and mod it as well. At this point I don't see it happening anytime soon but the modding seems to promise great results on it.

Also, I just ordered some Aluminum baffles for my HE560. The head-room site was a bit unclear wether or not 1 order comes with a pair or a single so I ordered a qty of 2. If it is for a pair, I'll be having an extra set for sale for $13 shipped. This should make the connection between driver/baffle/pad even tighter creating better control on the bass and overall sound/clarity. At least in theory, not sure how well it'll work for the HE4 but if anyone is interested if I end up with an extra set, I'd love to hear how it does for the the HE4.

FYI, screws won't align on the HE-4.

So I broke down and ordered an SPL Auditor.  I remember distinctly the very first Headfi meet I went to and being so impress by the HE-6 and the Auditor beyond any other pairing at the meet.  Granted I'm not sure what source it was hooked upto... but I've always had it in my head that I would own an Auditor.  I don't know why I never put two-and-two together, but if it sounded great with the HE-6, shouldn't it be a decent pairing with the HE-4?

It's being shipped over from Europe right now and might be a while, but I will report back when I find out.  Anyone by chance try this combo out before?

You didn't break down my friend, you manned up. Lol I had a chance to try one this time last year but had no idea what it was. Should've tried it, hopefully it will be at the meet next week and I get 560s on it.
