I'll check em out now... sooo here's my verdict... I muddled around youtube, I liked the RIffs and music behind Alaska, hated the vocals

and I didnt like any of the Colors Album... wasn't heavy enough :/

Like I would LOVE Primus but HEAVIER... which reminds me I need Bucket Head and Les Claypools projects, screw that not heavy enough... UGH LES DO SOME PROG METAL ALREADY BROTHER

Actually I managed to find some Country Thing Claypool did and I rather enjoy it... go figure

SO I finally listned to Meshuggah... what I want from my Metal is all the EPIC HEART POUNDING METAL fury of their music without any of their lyrics so anything that's as heavy as Mehshuggah but without words?

Kinda like this actually

... yea so this was on FreeLeech over at the site where I get all my Flacs... glad I got it! And on the subject of Music, I've been ammasing a rather large collection of CD's over the years. As my Car has a CD player and I do love Buying those nicely packaged Jewl Cases! Containing dics from my favorite artist ^^

Hey I need help. My usb ports all have a distortion that cones into play. With both dacs, both hps, both amps. So, I'd like to feed the audio gd with optical instead. Is there a decent internal audio card I can install to do optical out that someone can recommend?

If you are using USB directly out of your laptop, you may be experiencing jitter, created by noise that powers USB!  There are external USB devices that convert to SPDIF, optical or coax, designed to reduce or eliminate jitter.  Some high end DAC's also have that capability, but some are better than others.  Initially I used a Musical Fidelity V-Link, it has USB input and converts to SPDIF, the V-Link, basically works like a sound card.  There are numerous devices that do this same thing, prices vary depending on quality,

Its a desktop, so what in talking about is an actual soundcard installed inside the case just to do optical our, thus eliminating usb all together. But it doesn't have to be an amp/dac soundcard, just an audio board to push optical out like a pass through type of deal

Try a HifimeDIY USB isolator before going optical route. Might be a cheaper fix than getting a transport. PM me if you want to borrow one to test.

I might actually get one of those, for my unit,

Not sure I can hear an audible difference on the D100 or the D3 (which has a built in isolator). My computers don't suffer from poor USb ground though so ymmv

Some laptops have combined analog out/digital output using a 3.5mm jack. Make sure you don't have it before buying a usb to spdif converter.

Never heard of it.. What's the use for an 3.5mm digital out?
Its convenient. Its just an spdif out in a 3.5mm form factor. It's still a typical spdif signal. Much easier to plug in, and less prone to messing up like older spdif inphts with the stupid doors that break.

Its basically an optical out. My Mac mini has it. You just need a special cable.

I searched about it, there's actually an optical output hidden in the centre of the 3.5mm socket, interesting!
