but yea the Audio GD amps are very nice, the AMp/Dac combos are a heck of a deal as well! I think the Compass 2 is selling for about $500 or so dollars wit h shipping, it should have balanced outputs as well.

But I noticed a rather big differenace in my oDac over the ESS Sabre Chips in my AUdio GD NFB 10ES2, in all honestly the oDac is warmer than more ppl think, and Details wise it's not the end all. BUT I'm a 100% firm belive in balanced AMpfliers, I think they offer a cleaner sound over their SE counter parts, they ofc cost me and are not suited for iems but A balanced Amp/Dac combo like the NFB 10ES2 is for me pretty much end game ;3

No, I'm saying you could buy a custom balanced for $80 and tried to plug your listing. Not you're selling for $80 lol

And as crazy as some people will make it out to be, the balanced does offer a cleaner sound. Specially in the bass dept as well as soundstage. Very noticeable difference that people in the January Head-Fi meet were able to notice in a particularly loud room.

.

nooo see its not the balanced cable that sounds better its the fully balanced amp that sounds better. Im a firm believer that balanced amps offer a better sound than Se amps, due to the design of the amps circuit.

its not the cable thats better its the amp... the balanced is required to get the most out of a balanced amplifier

Are you suuure? I think there's magic in the cable when a shaman blesses it...

..

That's what I was saying. Man, it's miscommunication central today. I better go somewhere else.

went about a week without getting the time to take a listen to the setup, just makes these things shine so much more. I do believe i am done here with head-fi, he-4 with this audio gd is the last bit i needed to call it quits on upgrading. An awesome album for anyone interested in complex "metal", checkout the new animals as leaders album, the joy of motion. Its instrumental, very different from anything else youll hear, and technically mind blowing, tosin abasi and javier reyes are incredibly talented stringmen, drummer Matt Garstka is equally impressive. Check some songs out on the he4 and try to not be impressed.

OH Gawd did you just say COMPLEX INSTRUMENTAL METAL... I am ALL OVER that

sadly without my HE 4 atm, but congrats. And Honestly im in the boat your in now... the HE 4 with my Audio GD 10ES2 is like end game for me! The next step would be

The Refrance 10.32 Amp Dac Combo at 2k and the LCD X and XC combo at 1.5k each so... my next step is going to cost me 5k :D nearly twice as much as my Desktop and Portable Rig Combined ^^

That said, speaking of metal... my gawd there's three of them... there's a black guy and there's "jazz Fushion" listed in the tags... my gawd is this some kind of insane Metal Meets Jazz ear gasmic album :O if so I'm EXCITED

again speaking of metal, enjoying 1983-1986 Metallica VERY much atm BUT BUT, also really diggin Epica's Divine Conspiracy and Consign to Oblivion Albums

I have to admit though my Modded D2k does a heck of a job with Metal... the closed back bass... is soooo killer with metal! My HE 4 is still out being modded but I really hope the HE 4 does metal as good as the D2k does [and it should]

Ya its jazz influenced for sure, its just good music. Also if you want more jazz fusion checkout T.R.A.M, also tosin abasi and others. More jazz than metal but awesome none the less. The he4 is by far the best can for metal I have heard, the only hp that makes guitars sound more realistic was my magnum v5, but that had other issues that I didn't like. All in all. I don't think ill ever find a better hp for the vast amount of music I listen to, the he4 does some better than others, but is a master of prog metal/rock

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH listening to it NOW

dang man this is some nice stuff... that bassist can REALLY lay down some mean beats... listening to Woven Web... wasn't sure if this was going to be heavy enough to be in my Metal Folders... but that was a pretty sick Bass Riff... so yea... it get's a spot!

And I've got to say... this is one of those albums I really need to get on hard copy CD! Thank gawd I've got an actual RECORD shop in my town! I really want a jewl case for this one!

More importantly though, I've got a pretty ginger to listen to my Metal with so :D CDs make things easier to do that with ^^

But man... this is some NICE stuff... are all there other albums as good as this one [gawd those Bass and Double Bass Drum Riffs... awesome stuff, guys really know how to lay down some funky metal!] Oh gawd... I suddenly had a vision of these guys doing an Album with Les Claypool... and it was glorious!

still thanks a TON for sharing this with me :D

But on a more thread related note, i believe i like the felt on more, it seems a bit more neutral, but its hard to do a real comparison, as it takes a bit of time and work to remove, and re install the felt. You have to take apart the cups and pull the driver out, kind of nerve racking but takes time. And the poor craftsmanship of these shows when you take them apart. 2 of the screw terminals were broken off and not actually holding the driver in place, and this was not done by me, it was like that from the "factory". But, you know what, i dont care, it shows its handmade, and people make mistakes. This HP is still my "never leaving", and i dont know why i ever put it up for sale. Hope we get some HE4 vs he560 reviews soon.

I told you I prefer the Cliff Burton Metallica not anything after he passed away, that sad I've heard about Meshuggah actually, you'll have to post so videos for me :3, although I prefer mostly instrumental metal tbh... OR a strong female Vocal lead
