I was thinking of the t amp with he4/6 for a desktop setup.  not full stereo, although its possible with efficient speakers.

I was looking at that. 1W total or per channel? I wouldn't mind the latter for the HE4, give it a nice musical sound. I don't see how the Vali puts out more than that though but I guess you can't go by looks alone..

I usually assume that the power ratings are per channel, maybe I'm wrong.

I too was looking at that Darkvoice :D

First rule about fight club is you don't stop talking about fight club. So tempting!!!! ARGGH

Yeah it is on (REDACTED) right now and I just got my paycheck so I have the cash for it. So tempting. It is the most powerful OTL I have seen for non-ridiculous pricing, and since output impedance doesn't really matter with orthos since their driver mass is ultra low it could work pretty well.

Uh oh, better erase that real quick before you get das boot from the forum and have to start a new name. The powers that be don't like that name being mentioned

Indeed, bad Ju-Ju. But I'd still recommend the EF5 if you can find a good price on a used one. Terrific synergy with a musical DAC. Btw, super tempted... But must resist.

OR, you guys can go with balanced solid states like I do, my pb2 drives like 2.4 wpc and my Audio GD is around 6wpc. the ibasso is my portable and on +6 gain it drives the HE 4 plenty well
