@raxx - I usually only have issues with sibilance on vocals. For example, if you listen to A Perfect Circle - The Outsider, every time Maynard sings a lyric with an "ssss" in it. "Suicidal imbecile" sounds more like "Ssssuisssssidal imbesssssile", lol. Now, after listening to that, imagine cranking that sibilance up to eleven and that's the HE-400 for you.

There is some sibilance naturally in human speech though so a bit with a headphone isn't always bad.

Unfortunately haven't heard the HE-4 yet (I have owned or tried 300, 400, 500 and 5LE). I bet it sounds very good on the HE-4 too ;)

Good news: I'm sending my HE-4's to purrin today. Soon, we will no longer have to make assumptions about the frequency response. :D
