my YH-1 is up for sale. they are in a great condition considering its age. basically, it has been recabled with premium SPC cable 1.5m long and terminated with Cardas rhodium 1/4" plug. they were carefully damped through some serious researches and with premium parts as well.
with these recabling and damping, this beast could really sing like a bird. the vocal seems to be thicker and the music seperation is well positioned. soundstage is much wider than stock. bass impact is tight. the mid is really good. i could say for sure that if you like AKG701, you are likely to love this beast as well.
the pads are worn out. however i would include new pads and original grado 1/4" converter for free
they are good to go for $200. excluding shipping and paypal fees.
