Exposed wire in iems. Success! (Fisher Audio Silver Bullets)

Howdy fellow DIYers,

Today I noticed something I was dreading for a long time. The cable on my Silver Bullets finally crapped out on me. I'm not too surprised, they had the worst quality build I have ever seen in an iem. But anyway, I'd like to patch the problem (I'll take a picture in a second) and I was looking for advice. I have heatshrink, but I don't know if that'll secure it. I don't think it's reasonable to replace the cable, since I'd have to take apart the driver part, and that's glued together.

I would've sent them in for repair or a refund, but I bought them off a fellow headfier. It sucks because I only had them 2 months, and I know they are still in warranty. If anyone here is a representative of Fisher Audio, send me a PM. I figure the chances are pretty good that they browse these forums too.

The sound works, but the cable at the split has come up and you can see it's insides

Hot glue

^Is that really my best option? I guess I could heatshrink over the hot glue and make it look respectable.

Done, the flame accidentally touched my wires and the plastic kinda got weird right there. Oh well, I consider this a success.

I'm proud of myself.
