Extensive Headphones list (also Headphone amplifiers...)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I had originally started a thread in the Head-Fi Amplification forum and have now completed my “initial” headphones lists (over and under $90 USD). They are also separated into wired, wireless and microphone models.

If you would like to add any more headphones that aren’t listed (new or vintage), you can just post it here, and I’ll add them in… Headphone and headphone amplifier links - last updated 12/9/2003:

Another fine list. A couple of comments if I may. A legend would be helpful for columns like class and type. I would also add a column where the reader could sort by open/sealed/in ear and then another for pad size. With your existing columns for impedance and price a person could narrow their choices down to a few based on their criteria. Thanks for the work you have done.

John, that's a very good idea (simplifying the selection process).

I'll work on adding adding 2 columns for open/sealed/in ear and pad size. It's made it a lot easier already just by chopping headphones to "over $90" and wired, wireless or w/microphone categories or columns.

Oh, and the legend(s). Once I get the specs filled in more and figure out what the final columns will say, I'll post them.

OK - NOW THE LIST IS MUCH BETTER!

I have added the legend with descriptions and I'd say close to 450 hyperlinks right on the page (manufacturer site, full web page detail for that model, even hyperlinks for "right in the aisle" shopping). The links page has mostly "merged" with the list itself. Last updated 12/15/2003 in bold:

Finished off the wireless headphones section and the rest of headphones list (for now). After compiling wired and wireless specs, I seem to appreciate the wired versions even more (though there are a few “good” wireless models)… Last updated 12/18/2003:
