Let's see where that answer pops up ... biggrin.gif

... by the way ... no word yet about the 2 year warranty ...

If this was Rockboxed and memory upgradeable, I would have jumped on it a long time ago.

Typically proprietary software support stops when the product is MD.

Not to belabor this point, but Fang and friends need to be more vocal on this forum....I'd like to know what is the big deal in opening up the firmware on the HM-xxx series of players?  Is there really IP being protected here?

it`a big pity that we can`t see any firmware updates. no delete function is mind-blowing neglect..i just bought hm-801, no comments.

What do you mean no delete option? Like ability to delete files from within the player? No player I know of supports that, nor should it. Just delete off the SD card

There are many more glaring omissions that are missing then that.  But Nankai seems to have forgotten about his audience that spent money on his highest end DAP and is also not interested in releasing the source so that the community could actually finish something which is still BETA (ie. latest firmware)

Last I checked any Rockboxed player gives you the option to delete files on the go. I personally love the feature.

i can`t delete files directly from player`s flash or sd-card, it is quite annoying. Every player i owned in the past have this function. i don`t understand why it is not incorporated in firmware. is it too difficult to implement this feature??
