Help in choosing a headphone

i don't know about him, but i am in the same boat.. want to make a purchase in the next few days.  i am looking for closed style headphones, maybe noise canceling if i can afford it.  The price range for me is  around $150.  i have looked at the

I am open to any other brand or anything.  I like over the ear style and a concern has been comfort in the past.  Some headphones can hurt after being on for an hour or so.  i want something comfortable.

edit:  oh, i forgot to mention.. i would be listening to music on an ipod mostly.

any suggestions will be appreciated

I can vouch the Sony's XB500/XB700 have strong bass and good clarity.  I just want to say to you to research on them before buy because they seem to be pretty equal in quality, but produce different sound and bass. (the xb700 is not an upgrade to the xb500).  They both emphasis on different part of the sound frequency for example the xb700 bass hits lower where as the xb500 doesn't hit as low but hits harder.  I don't know about the WS70 and how they stack up against the XB series.
