Grant Geissman "Cool Man Cool" Jazz

Stellar artists: Chick Corea, Chuck Mangione, Tom Scott, Jerry Hahn, Russel Ferrante, Patricia Rushen, and Van Dyke Parks. Mad Magazine Artist for CD art. Comes with incredible liner notes and Mad Magazine like stick on tattoos no less. Geissman is an expert on the now defunct Mad Magazine according to Wikipedia. Jazz that is lively and driving. I've been bobbing my head to the music since it has arrived. As one reviewer said this isn't elevator music.

Yes, I got into that mode after re-ripping my CD collection. After finding Geissman in my collection I was prompted to look into more recent work. After "Cool Man Cool" I sought out his immediately previous work, "Say That". Not as lively but certainly not elevator music either. More Mad Magazine Art, and great liner notes! "Spy Versus Spy" is really great. The theme from "Two and a Half Men" is good too. I really enjoy finding older CD's in my collection and catching up with what the artists are doing currently. Kind of like finding a long lost friend who has grown.

While I like many kinds of music, Jazz keeps drawing me back.
