Zen Xtra vs Dell DJ ????

So I got in on 2 hot deals last week. The Zen Xtra 40gb from Creative for $250 and the Dell DJ 15GB for $200. One of them will have to go back. Which should I keep? Is there anyone out there who's tried both?

Things that are important to me starting with the most important:
1) sound quality
2) UI - ease of use and SPEED in navigation/logical interface
3) portability/size
4) battery life
5) hard drive capacity

Any thoughts? I doesn't seem there are as many opinions here at head-fi about the DJ as there is about the Xtra. I'd be using Notmad or Dudebox with them.

I know the DJ was also designed by Creative, so does that mean they have the exact same UI? How about sound quality?

if you decide to keep the dell I'd like to buy the Xtra. I saw that deal, got distracted, and missed out. Ah well. You could keep the nicer headphones they included.

But you may really like it. It has more features than the Dell, but the dell is going to be easier to use, and smaller too.

The Xtra came out to $284.18 with tax and shipping.

The Dell came out to $199, no tax, free shipping.

Yeah I'm a bit torn at the moment.

You'll get to play with both when they arrive? Test them out and see which you like. I've never seen the xtra, but I played with the NX. I own the DJ, so I'm kinda biased.

I got mine shipped to me for $280. from Creative. Don't upgrade the firmware (1.02) cos after doing so, my unit crashed during playback (repeat all). Has anyone had the same problem?

I had a 30GB Xtra that had the same problem after the upgrade. I had returned that after jumping on the Creative promo.
