Looking for a Balanced Amp/Dac combo for HD650

I currently have the HD650 and I'm looking to get a Balanced Amp/Dac combo. I am looking to spend not more than  £450 (around $700) though I don't mind stretching it a little if its worth it.  After endlessly going through various threads, the only decent option I can find in this price range is the Little Dot DAC_1 & Little Dot MK VII+ Balanced Amplifier.

Are there other/better options at this price range? There is the Matrix Mini-i Balanced Amp/Dac but I'm not sure it performs in the same league as the Little Dot amp. I would love to buy the Audio-GD Phoenix but I just don't have the funds for it right now.

I am also looking to get the LCD-2 in the near future so can you guys give your recommendations based on this fact.

Thanks in advance!!

Hello ht,

I have the DAC_I & MKVII and am very pleased with it.  I run balanced 580s and 650s plus SE headphones as well.  Lots of power.

But now there is this---

Hi HF,

Thanks for the info. Things just got very interesting. I'll head over to the NFB-10 thread.
