Are these frames worth salvaging? - Page 2

By the way, I usually don't just take someone's word for something - I usually try it out for myself. But about the KSC75's - I have a pair of PRO35A's that are about 3/4 open and they sound MUCH better when you just pop out the drivers and put them on a generic headband that allows them to operate totally free.

So yeah, I believe that they'd sound like crap in a totally sealed enclosure.

NO is the answer to your original question. I had a pair of similar frames - they are flimsy, difficult to seal don't hold position with added weight, just nasty. There are many more suitable frames - pop down to the closest discount store ie TJ/Job Lot etc . Or post with the idea you have, someone may just have something suitable lying about..dB

I think our frames are totally different then. These hold position fine, seal great (they actually have two plates in front) and are just generally well built. Like I said though - these are really old, vintage frames.

Anyway, I found a pair of drivers that surprised the crap out of me in a pair of XO Vision wireless headphones that I'm at least going to give a try. If they don't work... Oh well.

And no need to buy anymore frames - I have so many I don't even know what to do with them. I just thought these were kind of cool looking and original.
