How is the DAC portion? I'm looking at new phones and all oh the windows phone 7 devices use it for sound. I'm trying to gauge how good they will sound before I buy one.

I have the same QSD8250 SoC but in a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 running Android 2.1 and using PowerAMP for music playback.  The SQ is good but is hard to deal with the noise output (using HifiMAN RE252 - 16 Ohm, 116 db/mW).

I have the QSD8250 in my HTC Desire. Initially I liked the sound - but then the HO hiss and sharpness of treble pushed me away and back to my sflo2. I don't particularly like using EQ as I like my music flat, so I prefer not to use my phone for music.
