Went from MS-1 to AKG K702. Where next?

Hey everyone,

 

About 2 years ago now, I bought some MS-1s and absolutely loved the sound, everything was perfectly clear and my music sounded amazing.  I decided after a year and a half, I needed something better - I got the AKG K702 from a head-fier and am loving them.

 

The problem is, they just don't sound fun.  I find myself continuously switching to MS-1s these days, as they are just so incredibly lively and just make you feel great to listen to.  I want to keep the AKG K702 as they're far superior for classical music, but where can I go to get the MS-1s but just better?

 

I'm thinking the MS-Pros as I trust the brand now, but I also am sort of thinking of the Grado RS-1 or possibly even one of the bigger grados - namely the GS1000.

 

Where do you guys think I should go next?

Yeah I love MS1 too, and I had K701. Looks like we have same conditon like when I still have k701, my MS1 has more time on my head than K701 due the "fun" sounding smily_headphones1.gif

 

I think the only one headphone that really an upgrade from MS1 is MS Pro, I also have tried to search the headphone that can replace my MS1, and the best answer I think is MS-Pro. Only due the comfort issue, I don't think I want to spent big bucks for "not really comfortable" headphone. So yeah, the ATH comes to my line now... smily_headphones1.gif

Try MS1000 modding your MS1 - will breath a bit of life into them.
