Interesting DAC Kits

Thread Starter

I came across these two which caught my interest:

http://shop2.hifidiy.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8_12&products_id=48

http://www.hifidiyshop.com/new-version-dir9001ad1955-audio-dac-diy-kits_p335.html

Comments?

Especially, does anyone have any experience with this seller, are they legit?

I have the first one, the 1793 DAC.

A friend of mine in China sent it to me as a present.

It sounds pretty good once you change the OPA2134

for something decent. Mine has always put out a 20 mV

DC offset on one channel so you might want to be careful

and look for this. Oh ya, mine was a kit and not an

assembled unit. It wasn't too hard to build if you

have some SMD experience.

I see the hifidiy kits referenced all over the audio diy forums here and elsewhere, so i assume they are legit.

Tempted by that 1793 kit myself. And I'm not even done with my noodle dac - but when i am done with it, it will be boxed up next to my M3.
