DAC Recommendation. Help I'm terribly confused!

Hey guys,

Recently I've had got a terrible upgraditis and have started looking a new DAC. My two nominees are CA DacMagic and V-DAC mainly because I can find them considerably cheaper in UK. So I have questions:

1) I couldn't come across a clear view regarding which is better. I can find v-dac about 160 and DacM about 200ish and seriosly am undecided about which one to get. Which one do you recommend?

2) My setup  consists of uDAC and Hifiman EF2 with SR 325 and HD 600. So one thing that gets me cold feet is, whether there is a great difference between uDAC and the forementioned two? I mean, I definitely know there are improvements over my modest budget uDAC but are these differences compensate the money that I will be giving to upgrade. Because if they not, I can just save more money and make a bigger jump since that seems more logical to me...

What do you think?

Anyone?

I didn't have a udac but I had a nuforce icon. When I upgraded from it to a litttle dot DAC using the Icon as the amp still it was quite a huge upgrade. I have not heard a udac or the DACs that you are interested in, so it obviously is not an apples to apples comparison.Having said that I would recommend a used DAC over a new one at that price point.

You should wait until you can hear them side by side with your existing DAC..  Otherwise you might be kicking yourself after, "I paid X for that?"...

Well, do you think that the difference is so minimal or is it a general advice?
