Simple dt880 mod

Howdy folks!

 

I just finished taking apart my dt880's and decided to leave off that second layer of felt material. Sound quality is much clearer. I recommend everyone try this completely reversible mod.

 

Why hasn't anyone tried this yet? I've searched around figuring someone must have tried this, but found nothing.

Do you mean brighter?
