I was considering picking up a Cowon J3 or S9 today, but I realised that the $300 or so could be put toward an iPhone 4 that I've been secretly lusting for. My question is if I use an LOD (I think it's called) to the iBasso D12 I have in the mail, will the source be as good as a digital signal? Does the digital out bypass the iPhone's amp and DAC?
I feel like spending money, either way.
