Help! Phonak Perfect Bass or Hippo VB (Variable Bass)?

Hi. I am looking for a neutral sounding iem with some bass quantity & quality wise (in other words some thump).

 

I just came across some great reviews of the Hippo VB which i never paid attention to before in the past? Hows the sound quality, build quality, cable quality etc...

 

Also i read a few like 4 reviews on the Phonak Perfect Bass which got good reviews also but the Hippo is all over the place.

 

Also is Hippo brand foreign company?

 

I'm kinda lost here. I need to make a decision by this sunday.

One thing to note that Phonaks are also "variable bass" as you've put it. They have three types of replaceable filters that can alter the whole sound signature and not just bass. PFB come with a single pair of more bassy and warm sounding Green filters. More expensive PFE have same transducers and cabling but are packaged besides other extra goodies with few sets of brighter sounding Grey filters and Black filters that fit somewhere in between Green and Grey. If you go for cheaper PFB you can always buy extra sets of all three types of filters from the Audeo World site.
