My first post and I already need help. Rolls eyes. Typical. Anywho, I'm trying to find a good cd player for around one hundred dollars or less, and it's really starting to become rather difficult so I thought maybe some of you might take it upon your hearts to help. My first and only portable cd player is a Sony D-143 I received as a Christmas present in '93 or 4 and I've been using it ever since. However (there's always a "however" or a "but," isn't there?), recently it's begun to become rather finicky with the CDs it plays. They're just standard music CDs one would buy at a department or music store at the usual format. Although, the CDs it seems less inclined to play properly at HDCDs but it does, on occasion, like to nitpick over the other CDs which are perfectly clean and scratch-free (I love my CDs; they're like my babies--which is the closest I'll ever be to being a father, I'm happy to say ^_^).
I want a CD player that's going to last me a good while (maybe not a decade, but the next best thing to it, if it all possible). It has to be somewhat hardy and able to withstand a drop or two. Such accidents are extremely rare with me, but they do eventually happen. Sound quality and skip protection are both a must. Now, it won't need to run a hundred dollar pair of headphones, but I have a couple pairs of Koss headphones around the thirty dollar mark (KSC-35 and TD-61, if you're wondering) and I'd like to hear my music with the least possible static. Also, I would really like to be able to play it while moving about and doing things like riding my bike and cleaning. Being able to play music while jogging or practicing my martial arts would be a major plus but I doubt that would be possible for the amount of money I'm willing to devote to a CD player (about a hundred dollars, more or less). MP3 compatibility is also a plus, but, again, the sound quality and skip protection are probably the two key issues for me.
Any help you all could give me would be much appreciated. Thank you.

] but word is that the SlimX 350 is OK. I believe Amazon has them for a cool 100 right now as well. I know that's kinda your max price, but maybe it will help. Peace.
