Anyone able to play 24/192 on a Little Dot DAC I?

I've had my DAC I for a little over a year now, using Mediamonkey -> kernel streaming -> m2tech hiface -> LD DAC I -> LD MKIVSE, and have been perfectly happy with it. Up until now the highest resolution I've thrown at it has been 24/96, which it handled no problem. I recently came into a 24/192 vinyl rip, but when attempting to play it the DAC shows "No Signal".

I emailed David about it and as usual he got right back to me, but unfortunately said "the Little Dot DAC_I only supports 24/192 on the coaxial and BNC connections, and only then with certain source equipment.  Generally it's a 24/96 DAC." I replied that I am using the RCA connection and asked what the certain source equipment might be, but I haven't heard back.

Looking into the WM8740, I would say based on the Wolfson site and the Little Dot description it is definitely a 24/192 DAC, but I don't know enough about DAC construction to understand what other limiting factors might be.

Any DAC I owners have experience playing 24/192 audio successfully?

And yes, I did set the bit depth to 24 and the max KHz to 192 smily_headphones1.gif.

crack it open, what's the S/PDIF receiver? CS841x/DIR9001? most likely the latter, and it's limited to 24/96.

Interesting - I'll give that a try and see what I find.
