For Sale or Trade: FS: Sony MDR-R10 Bass Heavy (see description)

Selling Bass Heavy version of R10.

These are NOT in pristine condition.

Some history as to why they've been recabled:

Original owner had a sound issue from one of the cups so he sent it to Alex from Apuresound since he is known to have successfully repaired R10s before.

Alex discovered a problem with the stock cable and not the driver, hence, he recabled it using his V3 cable. 

I've confirmed this with Alex.

No sound issues since then and I can confirm I have not had any sound issues since they have been in my position-a little over 1 year.

I have also taken these to a few Norcal meets with positive impressions from those that have listened to them.

I can't say positively what impact the recable has had as I've never done a side by side comparison, but it has not had any negative impact.

It sounds to me at least as I good as all the other R10s I've heard and I did borrow a pair for several weeks prior to owning these from a fellow head-fier.

Cosmetics:

4 scuffs.

1)  Scuffs on 1 side of the headband. See picture.

2)  Scuff on right cup.  See picture. It seems that the scuff is from the protective varnish on the wood cup.  There might be some way to substitute or mimick it to remove the scuff.
3 & 4)  2 scuffs on the left cup.  See pictures.  Same as before, it seems to be on the protective varnish, not the wood itself, but it's noticeable.

Reason for selling

I thought these would be keepers but I've been bitten by the photography bug and want to start building a lens collection.

Hence, willing to take trade for a mint/sharp Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS Mk II lens + cash.

Also willing to take a pair of hd800 + cash.

Given the condition, I'm looking for $4550 shipped CONUS.  Paypal extra.
