looks really cool, is tat headphone good?

You should really get yourself a source with a dedicated line-out if you plan on using the Pico amp/DAC, basically your just double amping when using the "Cowon iaudio 9 as it doesn't have a line-out".

Portable? No, also your amp won't do them justice.

Is there anything that can drive the k601s on the go?

Or, are there any full-sized cans that can be driven well on a portable scale?

Nice pics, whats the sound like of the i9 with the pico? I've been on the fence about the i9 for a while.

My mini3 doesn't do too bad a job with them but they are an open design, in their price range I can't think of a less suitable candidate for use on the go even if only occasionally, they leak sound like a very comfortable, badly made colander.

As for the second part, yes, most of them sound reasonable and go to a decent volume (of the one's i've tried anyway). You'd also look like a bit of a tool walking around with a lot of them.

^ thanks for the clarification.

If I do go down the full-sized route, i would really only use them inside, its just i cannot stand sitting in the same spot for too long.

I like having the ability to move around with iems, just wondering if i could get a better experience with full-sized headphones.

The isolation iems have when im out and about is just too good to give up, i dont see myself using anything else with noise pollution still a factor.
