Questions concerning MP3 HD players. (Also; Which should I get?)

I can not go higher than $300 - I was thinking of either the 30gb Nomad Zen Xtra or the Rio Karma - which would you go for?
I can get the Karma for $265 (After $20 rebate), but I can get the Zen Xtra for $262. I really want something I can carry around with me or keep in my pocket, so smaller is a lot better in this case.
20gb is honestly good enough for me so the extra 10gb of the Xtra is neglible (it would be like an added bonus, but it's really not that big of a deal to me). However, one thing I noticed is that the Zen Xtra comes with a carrying pouch, does the Karma? (It doesn't mention it) If not, how much could I get one for? (Or would I even need it?)
Also, something that concerns me is warrenty. From my knowledge of computer hardware, Creative has HORRIBLE tech support/warrenties for their products - does this hold true with the Zen Xtra? Also, could I get extended warrenties through Creative/Rio for either product? Or would I have to get the warrenty through wherever I'm buying from? (Currently looking at Amazon and I don't think they offer warrenties ) And how much would a 2-3year extended warrenty cost me?

On Creatives' website, it says that with the 30gb Nomad Zen Xtra I get free $60 headphones (which would be nice as I wanted new headphones anyway, and these ones look very small, like they could fit in my pocket), is that offer only valid if I buy it directly from Creative? (Which I wouldn't because it's a LOT more when buying directly from them.)

One more thing - Are the two players I mentioned the best in my price range? Is there something better? (The iRiver is far too overpriced, I really don't care about having a remote and the other features it has over the Karma/Zen are worthless to me )

Thanks

Welcome to Head-Fi.

If physical size and price is important, consider this (scroll to bottom for $119). Storage space is 1.5 GB, but at 2 oz and that price, it's hard to beat.

Yea, I looked into that thing, I don't want it though, I want something where I won't have to constantly swap songs and wanted at least 15gb, though 20gb is perfect for me. Thanks anyway.
Also, BB has a sale on the Zen Xtra for $269, I'd probaly spend a little extra and get it from there along with a Best Buy warrenty instead of getting it from Amazon. But still, my main concerns/questions are about the warrenties and if Rio offers an extended one that you can purchase from them on top of the 90day warrenty.
ie: When you buy a Microsoft XBOX, if you call MS within 1years time of purchasing the XBOX you can buy an extended warrenty which goes beyond the 90day out-of-box warrenty.

anything that BB sells can have an extended warranty purchased also. so there should be no issue with getting a warranty for the rio. it is better to get the warranty at retail level as you can then get the latest gear as opposed to a refurb of the present unit.

But, the thing is, the Karma costs a lot more at BB as oppsed to the low price of the Amazon deal, which is why I'm asking if I can buy an extended warrenty through Rio themselves.
The only reason I would get the Nomad Xtra at BB is because I just found out it's on sale this week for $269, otherwise I would get it from Amazon and save money.

well then, check with Rio & Amazon to see if THEY do extended warranties!

I already have, I didn't see anything. Does Rio themselves offer extended warrenties for their products?

Psyko....what you may not know is that Best Buy does Price matching ! Walmart sells the Karma for $290, and Best buy will match it Plus discount %5 And on top of that you'll have the Rio $20 rebate. And I don't know about Rio's warranty stuff...sorry.

Oh, I'd get it from CC then as they have Price Match Plus which is 110% of the the difference, so I'd get it for 284, and since the $20 rebate is available online to be printed out...
I didn't know Wal-Mart had it so cheap, to get BB/CC to pricematch, do I need an ad or can I just have a print out from Wal-Marts' website?

Besides, I like CCs' ESP over other warrenties because they'll hand you what you paid for it rather than just exchanging it for a new one, so you can upgrade later on.
