1964 hasn't completely explained the comparison. Their initial ad said something like "Richer lows, more engaging mids, same sweet highs." Which sounds great in my book.
Mine should be finished pretty soon, so I'll post updates when I can. I'm planning on putting the 1964-T in heavy rotation for the next week so I am re-acquainted with the sound.
Even though I went quads, I'm keen to see what the V3's are like.
The D for me, but I agree. Should have done it a long time ago. I just ordered an iBasso D-Zero a couple hours ago. Can't wait to see how it pairs with my new CIEM.
It was ok when I had it. But you might want to invest in a bit better amp for your customs. If you're looking for the slim size stuff, look into Headstage Arrow and Leckerton UHA-4. They're much much better than D-Zero with 1964 Ears.
My next amp will be the JDS Labs C421 and the D-Zero will be left to computer duty.
