Lucky for me, JH turned them around in a single day, which is amazing. Overall time, one week (UPS shipping both ways). Anyway, I also had a bite block (2 in.) while getting the impressions. They fit perfectly first time, every time. Just lucky I guess. I am interested in the 1964 Ears triples, but not sure I want to spend even more (do I need two pair of customs?). So for now, happy with JH5s, which I absolutely adore SQ-wise. Best I have ever heard, by far.

Here's the info from the JH page for audiologists:

3. We also require that the dams are made of cotton instead of foam. Foam will tear the end of the canal when removed for processing.

Audiologists like to use foam because they don't have to deal w/ cotton strands left behind in the ear.  Most impressions are never made extending that far anyway but I'm not going to argue w/ Jerry Harvey.

All I can say is it worked for me, and my fit was dead on from day one. Just saying what the "tip sheet" noted. As it turned out, my audiologist already used cotton, just serendipity I guess.

I take it you read my wall post? (It's Blair Bondy lol)

the dual lows on the triple are low/mid's

so it's low/mid low/mid high not low low high/mid

I'm aware that the tuning of the driver is more important than just the brand name but at least we know it's good quality components now, yes?

Well what else are they going to use? It's not like there's that many big manufacturers of BA drivers. I'll wait a few weeks before deciding on if I should go for their triple driver or something else. I think 2 customs should have me set for a long time.

First question: when do you plan on releasing a frequency response chart for the triple and quads? I've been debating between the two. I am looking for something that offers more vocal mid's than my turbine pro copper's, but without sounding excessive (something that carries more emotion, like the electrified crispness that I enjoyed so much in my TF10's)

PS: where's my finders discount!?

Aleki, frequency response charts will be up in a few days. We are getting some details worked out and will keep you posted. Although not many IEM manufacturers would give you FR chart, we feel like you have the right to know.  If you're looking for neutrality in your sound, the quad will have what you're looking for. Our description says its for bass lovers, but that simply means that it will have a lower extension. Not necessarily a heavy-bass, colored sound.

Hehe i did the impressions exactly the same as you 5 days ago.
The worst part is when slime from your mouth keep building up, i just made it in time ><.

I really want 1964 ears but because of tax i buyed starkey, maybe i return the iems and buy 1964 but cant wait for review.

The audiologist who did the impressions was just gorgeous!! So that was incentive to keep my mouth open (I didn't let my tongue hangout though...lol).

She said if anything goes wrong to just call them and they'll do them over right away. They didn't use cotton to block the material from down the ear. They use a some type of blue spongy foam like thingy with string connected to it. She said it was better than cotton. So, by this time next week or the following week I should have customs in my ears and ready to give you guys the lowdown. Wish me happy listening!!gs1000.gif
