so excited about it, guess you can say that the stage has been set biggrin.gif

haha,finally.

I tried the demo of v6 stage in Hong Kong.

Honestly,it didn't impress me much, definitely needs 100+ hrs burn-in to reveal the real performance.

Some impressions:

1. Bassy, a bit much for me but still acceptable.

2. The soundstage can't compare with stage 4, anyways it still wider and deeper than my ck100pro.

3. I am surprised the mid and treble are still clear when the bass is emphasized.

btw I ordered the v6-s cuz I want to try some new sound signature IEM, I have too many Japanese IEM now.wink.gif

Love my v6s but I am definitely going to pick up the v6-S. Probably the universal version. Because I wanted to get some IEMs with a more bass heavy signature without sacrificing treble and mids

Should give a warm forward and intimate presentation for the vocals. Based on the comparison chart I think I'd prefer the V6 with abit more forward mid. I'm happy to stick with my V6.

But according to the chart it looks like the V6-S has more "forward" mids than the current V6.

Shouldn't these companies burn-in their demo units before taking it to a show?  Do you think the burn-in will help the the V6-S by much?  I really want to pick up some CIEM and thought I was set on JH16 but with the introduction of this V6-S is making me hold off my purchase for more reviews.

I think that is what they are saying. With them both being V6's, they will prefer the stage.

I also think it is interesting the V6-S frequency response is 15 Hz to 20 kHz. Where the V6 is 10 Hz to 20 kHz. With more bass focus comes less response?

Calm down.normal_smile%20.gif

Well,maybe I over-estimated the burn-in influence,please don't keep it in mind wink.gif

You can wait for review before purchasing for sure.

From the sounds of it, the V6 is like the Sennheiser HD600 and the V6-S would be the Senn HD650

Yep V6-S has more forward mid. What I meant was I prefer the chart for the V6 but would have preferred if the mids was abit more fwd

I've owned a lot of balanced armature based IEMs and 3 pairs of CIEMS.  I've never noticed any changes due to burn in.  Just saying.

If you don't like the demo don't expect a radically different experience when you get a copy.

Sorry about that.  You're correct, V6-S is on top.

1964 boys were kind enough to change my order from V6 to the V6-S.

Now the waiting game begins....

My V6's shipped about the same day the V6s showed up on their website. But I'm very impressed with the bass on the regular V6 and really would not want more. I turned the bass boost on my Fiio E17 down from +4 to +0 when going from my HD650's to my V6.

Do the crew at 1964 send you an email when they recieve your impressions? So you know they got there etc?
