Did I order everything I need for my Cmoy amp?

I ordered the parts for my Cmoy and I wanted to confirm I ordered everything needed. Here is the list:

I need to get the board and a switch from Radio Shack and I have an Altoid tin. Is that all?

Also, if I get a 3.5mm to RCA splitter, can I use the Cmoy as an amp with my uDac?

Watch TT#1

Have fun, but know what you are doing.  Ah, the parts take a while to arrive though.  Maybe a week or two?

Don't get my hopes down...

It's actually not that bad...

Cheery up!

Didn't mean to get your hopes down, just take your time and try not to rush.

Let me ask again.

If I get an 3.5mm to RCA splitter, can I use my uDac as a source?

I didn't feel like getting RCA ports for the Cmoy, so I think I may do this.

I thought the uDAC had a headphone output built in? surely this is better than a plain vanilla CMOY. if its more about the journey then thats cool, have fun

Sorry I should have been more clear. I mean use my uDac as a source and use the Cmoy as the amp stage since the uDac has RCA out.

yes, I understood that, I was just saying that it was my understanding that the uDAC already had a headphone output, which TBH will be at least as good as a CMOY; so why add a cmoy except for the fun making it

Okay then, will the Cmoy's amplifier section be better than the uDac's?

PC>uDac>Cmoy>Grados vs PC>uDac>Grados

havent I just answered that twice? I doubt it, a cmoy is about the most simplistic amp possible, it does not even have a regulated power supply, which the uDAC will. its basicaly an opamp with decoupling caps for the power lines and a feedback loop, thats it. also the uDAC I would think is using the digital volume control in the sabre dac , which will be superior to a cheap pot. and it provides no other benefit other than being able to choose your opamp and of course the fun of building it (which is not to be underestimated if thats the goal). I suppose its possible that the extra 1-2 volts power might help, but that depends on your headphones. I would expect te uDAC uses some sort of charge pump to increase the voltage from the USB (not sure if the uDAC has batteries or not)

Oh well. This will just be a fun project then. On to another amp afterwards. What would you recommend for an amp build under $200 that is capable of powering high impedance cans?
