[REVIEW] Phonak Audéo PFE 022 Perfect Bass - Page 2

I'm really happy with these. The bass is good but I listen to alot of dance, eurodisco, pop & rock & wished the bass was just a little more thumping. Otherwise it's what i'm been looking for. Very good sound quality across the spectrum and good bass just wished their was a little more quantity.

Glad you like it. If you want something more bassy in the future but still remains textured, Radius W Pro (or maybe the upcoming W Pro 2) will be a good choice. Though not quite as detail on the upper mid / treble and with a more challenging fit, it is still a very enjoyable IEM to listen to with excellent bass response.

Thank You for the suggestion ClieOS. I'm waiting patiently on Phonak's Multi-Armature earphones which should be released in Spring 2011.

Almost forgot the upcoming Phonak. Hopefully no delay on Phonak's part as we have seen too many delay this year already.

do you know how the green filters used on the original 112 compares to monster turbines?

Can't really compare since I have yet to listen to any Monster.

Hopefully prices of these old models drop when the newer hits the market.

If you put grey/black filters in the 0xx, how do they differ from the 1xx?

It seems it's almost the same IEM, only filter is different.

Not almost - It is the same IEM, just the filters are different.

I recently got the perfect bass with the comply tips.

If you want more bass the comply tips add more bass and I also use a fiio E5 and that helps a lot too.

i think the fiio e5 is indispensable for the phonaks. It adds a little bit more of volume and a really nice bass that doesn't bury mids and highs,it just makes the phonaks perfect only spending 10 euros more!

say Clie

how are the microphonics of these ones compared to iem that have twisted cable like the meelec and westone (a151 and w1)

Thread Starter

They are all over-the-ear so microphonics is very low. But for comparison sake, I will say PFE is a little less microphonics than A151.

How do the Perfect Bass headphones compare to the Shure SE215? I love my SE215's due to their fun sound and comfort, and these headphones also seem very comfortable.

The problem is, I don't want two headphones that sound exactly the same because I want some variety. I also really like bassier headphones. Is this worth getting if I already have the SE215? It's very tempting.

I doubt they will have the same kind of sound given one is dynamic while the other is balanced armature. In anyway, I can't give you the answer till a weeks or two later as I just pre-ordered my SE215 (it hasn't reached S.E.Asia yet).

So... anyone want to talk me out of buying these or should I just do it anyways?ph34r.gif
