a DAC for ATH-A700! Will i feel any diff?

I have ATH-A700. Atleast for me it is better than HD555.

The sq was something i expected from reviews and opinions and liked except the soundstage of A700.

the soundstage as i found almost equal to nill.. This is where i believe HD555 is better.

Before i used the HD555/A700, i used some cheap $5 headphones/iems and i can feel the difference.

My question is will i notice ($300- $400 worth) any difference if i got for the NFB-11 or FUN and use it with ATH-A700??

If so what kind of difference? [ I use FLAC ,CD , 320kbps mp3 format. from PC ]

Also is the DAC used in NFB-11 better than FUN? Which would be a better choice?

What are you using at the moment? If you're using something like a generic Realtek soundcard, you will notice a difference.  As for the Fun vs. NFB-11, someone posted comments from Kingwa that Fun is smoother and less detailed, but the ES9018-based DACs will have more detail.  Until someone who has both posts comments, that's all anyone has to go on.  It's probably something that would be more noticeable with much better headphones than what you have now though.

Thanks.. that all i wanted to know.. That i will have considerable difference between dedicated DAC and onboard chip which is worth the upgrade..
