Will my headroom Micro amp be good enough to drive the HE-5LE

I'm planning on buying a Hifiman HE-5LE but I read that it need a lot of power to sufficiently drive them.Will my Headroom Micro amp be good enough or will I have to buy a new amp.

I've tried the HE5 on the Micro Amp, and while it gets loud enough, I encountered some pretty extreme brightness on it that I didn't experience with the WA6 or WA6SE.  I'm afraid I don't know how the HE5LE will differ.

Does HE5,WA6,and Micro DAC go will together.

Sounded fine, but the WA6 would start to run out of headroom on some of my lower-gain classical recordings.  Plenty for pop, rock, and most classical recordings with higher gain tubes.

 

Reminds me that I need to put my WA6 up for sale. smily_headphones1.gif
