How did you check from the moon?

I joined because my circumstances rarely permit me to listen to music on speakers. So, not really knowing much about headphones or computer audio, this seemed to be the place. Most of the choices I've made in setting up my modest system have been the result of my researches here, and at computeraudiophile.com.

I have no friends. I sit in my office all day doing work for a company where I've only met an HR person and my immediate supervisor. I've been into the corporate building two times. Once for the initial interview and once for a urine test. When I'm working I listen to music via headphones and the SR-60 Grados I bought were hurting my ears so I started looking around for reviews and "surfed on in" to this hell hole. I've now become addicted to headphones, amplifiers, sound cards, DACs, cables, interconnects, and all the other trappings that come with this hobby. When I'm not working, I'm playing World of Warcraft or other on-line games and listening via headphones, of course. Since I've joined here I've gained 79 pounds, my cholesterol is going ever higher, and my blood pressure is spiking. I sometimes can't pay my heating bill because I continue to spend money I don't really have on things I don't really need, much less have space for. The only thing that keeps me going is my cat, Freckles. He would be so lonely without me and probably wouldn't be adopted if he went to the shelter. Also, I'm a chronic, pathological liar.

^ sux2beu. Maybe stop spending so much money on audio equipment and more on a gym membership or equipment. Who knows, you might even meet people there?

I was just looking for the best gaming setup I could get. I am not sure in how in 2+ years I got from that thought to where I am today in the hobby. I am not sure if i should put a smiley or a frown, but I think this smiley should represent my experience on headfi. evilgrin0041.gif

Pretty much because I was bored.

Hmm, I'm trying to wonder why I did.

Better yet, I wonder what my first post was... rolleyes.gif
