this is a great place, a great community , a proof that people can coexist happily together , if they have a common mental disease to drive them towards something...in this case the perfect audiophile sound.

sometimes, when I look at my bank acct statements, I ask the same question......

I had some fever dreams about randomness and at work the next day I was compelled to look for headphones and Head-fi kept popping up in searches. True story.

I hunkered down for some reading and have only barely gone through the tip of the iceberg. The people seem knowledgable and the forums aren't full of arguments about every little nitpick. All good things in my book. So I plan on sticking around as I enter the would of higher end headphones.

My ears already thank you. My wallet has already been murdered so it can't complain about being empty. :)

Maybe you need to check out some of the cable/sound science subforums...

I like to lose my sanity in small doses so I will refrain from jumping into the cable/sound science forums. Measured doses of this site is how I plan to take it in until my finances back in order. Dentists are expensive! [I have my wisdom teeth coming out next week and another root canal next month] :(

Yargh! Sorry to hear that. I was very fortunate in this area. While I have had more than my fair share of cavities, I don't have any bottom wisdom teeth, and my top are growing perpendicular to my other teeth allowing them to stay in there with no need to take them out. Phweew! I was always afraid of getting my wisdom teeth removed since I was a wee lad 

I didn't like the dentist when I was younger but I have seemed to gotten over that. I'm getting them out now due to the way my benefits works. Based on the calendar year and I have a root canal next month so the combination of the root canal and wisdom tooth extraction adds up to my total amount for the year. I was lucky enough though to get my teeth extraction before the year is out. Unfortunately I now have no money for my holidays. [I have to pay up front and get reimbursed]

Even more unfortunate because I want to buy some Denon D2000's. Though I'll look on the bright side and just look at it as a way of doing some more research. ;)

I only have my bottom wisdom teeth and they are impacted. Completely horizontal actually. I can't wait to have them out. I'm going to feel like another person!

Found the site while looking for a headphone review, bank account destruction followed. 

Lurked a lot when trying to decide on a better portable amp and ended up getting the RSA Hornet M to replace my Xenos.  I later also got a Pico and the Lisa lll.  Things kind of spin out of control when you join this forum

hmmm...well, did he ask the government for a additional grant to find out how many trees there were?
