I'm wondering. So many members are quitting, and I could see why. When I first joined, I wanted to find out what would be the best, cost effective setup for me. I found it thanks to the kind members here. Nowadays, it takes hours, if not days, for people to respond to posts. I don't know why, perhaps it is an economic issue, perhaps it is a time issue (e.g. need to do more shifts, etc.).
Sure, I have the goal of shortening my internet usage time, but the head-fi forum is one of the most helpful, and nicest I have seen. Other forums I used to be part of are very elitist, and they fight over the most petty ideas. They are all prima donnas. But here on head-fi, sure we all have our favorites, but we never burst into a huge argument about the smallest things. It used to be a very helpful forum, and to many extents, it is. But I am just very sad that so many members are quitting. On head-fi, I could talk about whatever I want, whether it is a school issue, saving money, or even somebody's birthday, and I know that someone can always offer helpful advice. I simply can't do that on other forums without being embarrassed or a member yelling at me.That is why I love this forum so much, and I hate to see it deteriorate. We should have a campaign to re-engage members and to persuade everyone that head-fi is a welcome place, no matter how much is in your wallet.
