Is WikiLeaks a threat to national security?

Thread Starter

A while ago it released the Afghan stuff, and now some Iraqi stuff.

Understandably the officials and the media are naturally doing their things, but I myself don't know much about this. So I hope to get some thoughts from you guys.

Please don't turn this thread into something political. I am asking a question hoping to get some answers and opinions.

Thank you very much.

When you ask such a question, how can it not become political. With that said, I think what Assange is doing is brave and a service to the global community. I am sick of the US getting away with so much crap..

I think they are a threat. There are things the government knows that I do not, and I wish it to stay that way.

Obviously. The question is, is getting the knowledge out something for which it is worth compromising national security?

I'm sorry, but I agree that there just isn't a way to discuss this without it involving politics.
