hmm, if only this were available in the states... it's a bit bigger than the zen but it has larger hd sizes (up to 60 gb) and FUNCTIONS AS A USB REMOVABLE DRIVE!

not bad...the only downside is that it uses 2.5" HDDs, which are huge, not like iHP/iPOD which uses 1.8" HDDS

Yeah, I've seen reviews on this one before...looks like the IHP's nearest competition. Too bad it hasn't reached the states..wonder if it ever will though. I actually remember getting an e mail from these guys asking me if I wanted to be a beta tester, but something when kaplooey with my Road Runner e mail account, so I have no idea if they ever tried to get in touch with me after my reply.

The unit looks solid, not to mention thick..but I bet it's no bigger than a Zen..Also, a few things to note that I found interesting ..:

Capability : 6G, 10G, 20G, 40GB(upto 137GB) Das isss goooooot !

Buffer Memory : Max. 12MB das is NO GOOOOOT ! That's just plain *****. Why would they do that ? The IHP 120 boasts 32 MB, but only 16 of it is used for the HD buffer, while the other 16 take care of other operations from what I understand.

MP3 and WMA Music Playback: Big freegin' whoop ! Take a look at that hefty freegin' price tag ! Whoa...someone's going to be eating vegamite sandwiches for a while there ey ?

But to its credit, there seem to be a plethora of really good features which even the IHP aren't sporting. Bookmarking, playlist features, fm recording, usb charging.

Bah...the more I think about it, I realize that the IHP will most likely have these things eventually...except for the charging via usb.

new? The XCelf HD-500 has been out for at least 6 months. We even have a review on it over at www.DAPreview.com somewhere.
