Another "Help me buying...." thread

So, my iPod nano 5th got stolen along with Hippo Shroom-EB IEMs.
I need a PMP that  is able to play loseless files and has 16 GB (or 8GB+microsd slot) for under 100$.
I do not need video, I believe it'll be nice if I got something with a slightly warm sound since I'm going to be using RE0 along with it.
Looks don't really matter as long they don't affect the performance.
BTW, I prefere physical buttons, not touchpad.

Under $100, no touch screen, lossless, sounds like you will have to settle for a Fuze.

well, I actually considered getting the fuze+, since the touchscreen doesn't have an awkard design, however this thread made me rethink it. I had an ipod and it did sound great (ut still overpriced, imo), I don't want to get something that sounds worse (thats why I said I didn't need video support, assuming this saves quite a few dollars)

Don't go for Fuze+, no rockbox support yet.

 

If you want bigger screen and lil longer battery life, then Fuze with rockbox installed is the way to go. If you want 1 inch, small portable player, Clip+ with rockbox is the way to go.

 

SQ, it's lil subjective isn't it? Some may enjoy Clip+/Fuze over iPod, some may enjoy iPod over Clip+/Fuze.  But one thing is for sure, Clip+/Fuze = good bang for your buck.

meh, the screen of the fuze seems to suck, wouldn't br better to get the clip+?

 

well, I wont be getting it right away, I'll still have to wait a month or two, so maybe rockbox will support it at that time.Does anyone have anymore suggestions?

Wouldn't that depend on the user? That's like saying, do you like thick rimmed glasses or do you like frameless glasses?

Its that good : ). There are people who cant see the difference between apple buds and a $100 pair. For them its placebo. But Sflo2 has two wolfson audio chips. I dont think thats placebo

I dont have it so cant tell you. I only know it sounds great. It has some compromises though like the battery life(10h). So search the forum and see if it fits your needs.

Yeah, the battery life really worries me.Still not sure if I'll get a Fuze+ or S:flo2. but I have plenty of time to decide it (unfortunately)
