Thanks, this is one of those DIY things. Its very easy, all you need is a sponge with those green backs. All you do is rub the back of the ipod in a constant up and down motion with the green abrasive side of the sponge for about 6 to 10 minutes, just make sure its the same up and down motion the whole time because if its sideways or in circles, etc it will ruin the look. Also dont forget the sides of the ipod. I recommend usind some tape or a screen shield to protect the screen and wifi antenna from any scratches in the process.

awesome. Ill have to try this sometime after my warranty runs out.  How much pressure would you recommend putting on the sponge?

I was rubbing my iPod with a soft cloth, and it turned into an iPad

Beautiful when it's brushed rather than chrome

Well i cant really recommend a certain amount of pressure because mine constantly changed. Some people recommend little pressure, like the amount of pressure of your hand just resting on the sponge. I did medium to high pressure because i think little pressure would take awhile to have any affect.

It look great... plus you made it your own!  Nice!

I tried this on the screen of my iPod and it didn't work out too well!

Looks cool, but I have a translucent grey argyle patterned silicone cover on my 4th generation which looks pretty sexy with the flat mirror finish on the back, so I'll stick with that for now.

So is there a trick to doing the sides and corners of the Ipod?

I might do this to the outer ear cups of my Audio Technica ATH-ES7s, that might stop them from being fingerprint magnets!

Very nice indeed. I have a classic and a 5.5gen imod both in need of a spruce up, will this cover previous blemishes?

Not really, its the same concept, just turn the ipod on the side and continue the same up and down motion. just make sure that when you are working on the sides its an up and down motion and never a left to right. My friend tried this out but he did the sides of his from left to right so it completely ruined to look.

It will cover up the minor scratches but the deeper ones wont go away and if you have any dents, they will show up more.

Great, thanks for the reply!  I'm still thinking about doing this, I just need to remember to pick up a sponge first...
