Etymotic MC5... in Canada?

Hey guys!

So, I've long been considering buying the MC5s, since they seem to have garnered positive reviews from just about everywhere I've looked. Including here: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/510261/totally-insane-quality-for-a-totally-insane-price-the-etymotic-mc5-mini-review

This would have me believe that these are the headphones I'm looking for. My cheap $20 Sony headphones have finally died, so I figure I'd finally look into some nice IEMs. I'm not new to high-fidelity; I have a pair of Ultrasones exclusively for home use. But given that I'm a student, I tend to do most of my listening nowadays while on the move. My conclusion has been to purchase the MC-5s, but as soon as I plug in their $79 price tag into a shipping calculator, I'm faced with some truly exorbitant overheads.

tl;dr - I'm interested in the MC5s and don't foresee changing my mind. But where can I buy them, given I live in Canada? Is HeadRoom my best option, or would buying directly from Etymotic be a better idea? Anybody have experiences with this?

I bought them from Amazon.com and ya it does get up there with shipping + import fees (approaching $110). There are no dealers for Etymotic in Toronto or Mississauga (where I'm from). The MC5 are getting a lot of chatter, but not all the talk in that thread is positive. I didn't like them and sent them back for a refund. Maybe you can just buy an RE0 if you've heard of those. They do everything pretty well, very detailed, non-offending, lean in the bass though. I think it's a flat rate of $10 for international shipping ($79+$10).
