Will Westone cable fit my Ultimate Ears?

I did search the forum but reading different things which confused me,

some claim that just have to trim a little, some claim should purchase from some web sites.

My superfi 5 pro and triplefi 10 pro have been using mod cable already,

Both the sockets won't fit the stock cable any longer, but still produce sound when plugged.

Does that mean mine will fit just fine with the cable in the link above?

 

Another thing is about Grado, are they really that great or just gimmick? 

I have three over head cans and they are all closed,

Is it worth a try on SR80i?

Yes they can fit. Es2 cables can fit all older ue series (3studio,5,5eb,5pro,10pro). However the pins are bit longer then the depth of the hole, so without trimming it half of the pin will jut out, which is not a good thing. Just trim the pins shorter abit, and walla, it will be fine.

The westone cable pins are longer and have a larger diameter than the stock UE cables. It sounds like the sockets of your UE phones are already stretched to a larger diameter. I would be willing to bet that the Westone cables and your phones would be a good match. You will have to trim the length of the new pins. Not a big deal.

I have one more question/...\

From what I heard here, there are ES1 ES2 and ES3.

However, I could not find it anywhere even on Westone website.

Are they all share the same cable now or what?
