Need a place to start with IEMs

I was looking into IEMS because my ad700's sound just as good, maybe a little better for my gaming than my 15 dollar skullcandy earbuds.  the earbuds do a nice job at isolating sound and i think they are incredible for only 15 dollars.  Anyways, I would like to get even higher quality sound from a earbud so I was checking these out:

Would these be a nice first pair?  I've seen people mod these for detachable cables, could someone point me in the right direction for that as well?  Thanks for any input.

if you go up in price a little bit you could get the Klipsch Custom 3 A real great sound and at 110 its a steal

The E2C is old... at least three years old. If you really need detachable cables the Panasonic HJE900 is the ticket in that price range. Otherwise dozens of other good options out there that aren't past their prime.

THE ECLIPSE's look rather nice and they come with all those tools and case and that might be nice.  I heard the EC2 dont come with a case or cleaning tool or anything so that would be nice.  They are also 200 dollars off so that is a big plus.  Right now I am looking into that set now.  Anything better than these for their price range?

how would the eclipse's compare to my ad700's for gaming/movies?  music pretty much sounds great with anything with my xtrememusic xfi card, so im not worried about that.  do the eclipse's have decent bass and good detail as well as positioning at all?

i think im gonna start with the monster turbines, and if i don't like them i will move onto the custom 3's, and if i don't like them, i will try the panasonics hje900's.  does this sound good?

i think people should put their butt down,do some reading here and then learn to spend their money wisely instead of being lazy and simply asking for other people to tell them what to buy

just my 2 cents

also i think there should be the ' tell me what to buy' subforums cause i am getting itchy with so many threads of people just asking for iems without having spent some time to see for themseleves what they NEED

but i am just a fool so please go on  as before.
