Best DAC for 100 dollars?

Hi Guys,

I would like to buy a DAC in this price category. 100 dollars is the maximum price.

I would connect a Bravo V2 amplifier to it which drives a Sennheiser HD555 hp.

Thanks for your advice smily_headphones1.gif

I hear the nuforce udac is pretty good for $100.

You didn't say what input connection you need(S/PDIF(optical or coax) or USB).  If USB, I think you might be hard pressed to find a better USB DAC for under $100 than the Headphonia Cable DAC:http://headphonia.com/::10134.html, particularly since its only $69...

Yes, I have forgotten to write that. S/PDIF optical or USB is welcome, output has to be RCA.

Thanks.

Sorry for bad category frown.gif

Hate to not answer your question directly. Still, if you could stretch your budget to $120 shipped, the Musiland 02 Monitor gets good reviews. I have one, and it seems to trounce the EMU 0202 I have which is, in itself, a well respected budget choice.
