Just a note to say I got delivery of the re-262's--unbelievable,amazing ,a big thank you!!
I also got the r-1's,which I had my wife listen to..well...---thats the last time I saw them.
Just as well,I wan to hold on to these 262's
KG,if I may
I tried to call hifiman tech support about the 3 cable extensions on the 262's
What are they for???
I've go the black one connected now, and,I'm listening through my desktop computer..SQ is excellent.
In the owners manual, {what a joke!} ,that the 262's are a balanced earphone, that I have to use the "imbalanced"adapter to use the regular earphone output.
And lastly, how do I get into balanced mode??
Sorry for the newbie questions,,but ,this is my first pair of earphones..if you have time,Please.
And again, tnx for the link...they were great & fast .

Hey,
I got the 262s' from Audio Advisor too. great price. So the 262 is a balanced plug, very few amps or sources have a balanced output so that's why they include the imbalance adapters which then make them work in most devices (most amps, ipods, iphones, smartphones etc). The grey and the white adapter are the imbalance adapters. The grey one just changes the balanced plug to an imbalanced one (wear the earphones down). The white imbalance adapter swap the channels so you can wear the earphones over the ear. The left earpiece in the right ear and the right ear piece in the left ear. The black one just extends the balanced plug. Hopefully this helps. Any other questions feel free to send a pm to me.
